Dr. Isabelle Masseau
DVM, PhD, Diplomate ACVR
Isabelle was born and raised in Laval, Québec. From a very early age, she wanted to become a veterinarian and graduating from the veterinary school of the Université de Montréal in 2002 was a dream come true. Following graduation, she completed a Food Animal Medicine and Surgery Rotating Internship at the same institution. During the following sixteen months, she developed a free access web-based Atlas of Bovine Anatomy and Medical Imaging as a consultant for the Université de Montréal. She then enrolled into a combined program of radiology residency and PhD in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Missouri. She obtained certification in veterinary radiology from the American College of Veterinary Radiology in 2009 and completed her PhD in Biomedical Sciences in 2011.
After 4 years as an Assistant Teaching Professor at the University of Missouri-Columbia, she moved back to the Université de Montréal where she currently works as an assistant professor. In the recent years, Dr. Masseau has been involved in basic science research projects on allergic asthma with an emphasis on computed tomographic changes associated with this disease and how these changes can be affected by novel therapies. She also developed collaborative projects using diagnostic imaging for diagnoses of respiratory diseases in calves.
Dr. Masseau enjoys gardening and spending quality time with her twin toddler girls.
