Dr. Paul M. Rist

Paul was born and raised in Slidell, Louisiana and grew up exploring the swamps and marshes of his home state.  He graduated from the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine in 2001.  Following graduation, he completed a one-year rotating internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at the University of Prince Edward Island, Atlantic Veterinary College.  From 2002-2005, he completed a Residency in Diagnostic Imaging (Radiology) at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine.

After his residency, he worked as an Assistant Professor and Faculty Radiologist at the Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine.  He currently works as a part-time Clinical Radiologist at the University of Prince Edward Island, Atlantic Veterinary College.

In 2008, Dr. Rist founded Maritime Veterinary Imaging, a veterinary mobile ultrasound and teleradiology service based in the Maritime Provinces of Canada.  Radterra is owned and was founded by Dr. Rist, and is the evolution of the teleradiology portion of his business, while Maritime Veterinary Imaging will now focus primarily on ultrasound services.  His interests include diagnosis of pulmonary and gastrointestinal disease.
